"I took this photograph in winter 2021 from the top of a hill near the suburb of Jacks Point in Queenstown. This area has an uninterrupted view of The Remarkables - and when the mountains are covered in snow like they were at this time, they reflect the tones of the light source. It was to my delight, then, that the sky turned violet after the sun had set, and those shades of purple propagated to the land beneath."
