"Imagine you're a duck, and you're basing yourself in the Bobs Cove area of the Whakatipu. It's a quiet escape from the bustle of Queenstown. The sandflies aren't ideal, but you're a duck, so it doesn't really occur to you, or any member of your extended species. The thing is, though, that you're a sucker for a photo op, so what do you do when a photographer finds their way down to the Cove? You put on as best a show as you know how to, that's what. This is to say that the photographer will probably think he really fluked that shot of you, that somehow everything just fell into place at that moment. But you'll always know that there was no fluke - it was all you - and he will be forever grateful to you for making that happen."
